Content Pillars
Define the recurring themes that structure your content strategy
Content pillars are the 4-6 recurring themes your influencer posts about. They provide structure to your content calendar and ensure your feed has variety while staying on-brand.
Why pillars matter
Without pillars, content planning becomes random. Pillars give you:
- Consistency — followers know what to expect
- Variety — different themes prevent monotony
- Planning efficiency — easier to generate calendar posts when themes are defined
- Brand clarity — each pillar reinforces a facet of your influencer's identity
Generating pillars
Navigate to the Content tab for your account. If no pillars exist yet, the AI will generate them based on your persona's niche, audience, and personality.
Each pillar includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Short label (e.g., "Mindful Mornings") |
| Emoji | Visual identifier used throughout the app |
| Description | What this pillar covers and why it resonates |
| Frequency | How often to post from this pillar (e.g., "2x per week") |
| Sample topics | Example post ideas within this pillar |
Editing pillars
In the Settings tab, switch to Content Pillars view. You can:
- Edit any pillar's name, description, frequency, or sample topics
- Reorder pillars by dragging
- Delete pillars you don't need
- Add new pillars manually
How pillars connect to the calendar
When you generate a content calendar, the AI distributes posts across your pillars based on their frequency settings. Each calendar post is tagged with its pillar name and emoji, making it easy to see the content mix at a glance.
If your pillars change after generating a calendar, the app will show a warning that the calendar's pillar references may be outdated. You can regenerate the calendar to align with updated pillars.
Tips
- Start with 4-5 pillars. Too many dilutes focus; too few limits variety.
- Make frequencies add up to your posting pace. If you post 7 times a week, pillar frequencies should sum to roughly 7.
- Name pillars from the audience's perspective. "Balance Tips" is more compelling than "Work-Life Content."
- Include one engagement-focused pillar. Something like "Community Questions" or "Ask Me Anything" drives interaction.
